A surprise party was given at the home of G P Ackley in honor of his sixty-fourth
birthday on Sunday, Nov. 1. Mr Ackley was away from home and on returning found
about 30 friends and relatives gathered. Dinner was served cafeteria style at
noon. The center of the table was decorated with a large birthday cake covered
with 64 candles. Among the guests was a brother, Calvin Ackley who is 78 years
old. The day was spent socially.
