Thanks for visiting my pet page. My pets are very important to me. I have two Shelties and one bird.  Kirby and Ginger are my Shetland Sheepdogs (Shelties) who I adopted from Sheltie Rescue and Doodle is my Cockatiel. I am a volunteer with a number of different breed rescues and also with the SPCA of Wake County.   If you want to adopt a wonderful pet, adopt a homeless pet from a rescue or from a shelter.  You won't believe the love you will get in return!

Well, I hope you enjoy seeing my pets. Come back soon, because I'll be adding more pictures of my pets and also my rescue pets. And also be sure to visit my Rainbow Bridge Critter page to see special pets of mine and friends that have crossed over to the Bridge.

This is Kirby.   Kirby is a blue merle Shetland Sheepdog and I rescued him from Sheltie Rescue in November of 1996.  Kirby is 8 years old now and he's the best dog anyone could ask for. He originally was found by a shelter in Kentucky and given to Sheltie Rescue in Kentucky.  The Kentucky Rescue had so many dogs they asked the NC Sheltie Rescue if they would take him and find him a home...and they found me.  He's a great guard dog and loves to eat, sleep and bark!

That's Kirby on the left and Ginger on the right. This picture was taken in October, 1999 right after they had a bath. Aren't they pretty?!!!

This is a picture of Ginger's obedience class and the graduating canines and their owners.  That's Michelle, our instructor, on the top left beside Baron, the GSD.   She did a great job.  If you want to take your dog to obedience, call Bowman Animal Hospital in Raleigh about their obedience classes.

This little guy is E.J. We fostered E.J. for four months. He was in sad shape when he came to us. He had been shaved because of a combination of fleas, allergies and hypo thyroid and what little hair he had was VERY dry and brittle. He had a very bad upper respiratory infection and was way way overweight.  But boy was he a sweety! It took me all of   2 minutes to fall in love with him. Kirby thought he was pretty cool too. E.J. could speak, sing, shake hands and he knew all his commands.  Now can you please explain to me how someone could let a sweet little sheltie like him get in such a condition? E.J. was adopted in January to a wonderful lady in Highland, NC where he now is healthy and happy as you can tell from his "After" picture.  His name is now "Joey."  We love ya Joey!
