Margareta "Reta" S. Williamson (IW3) was born 1/2/1894. She and Joseph Horneff met in 1912 when they were coworkers at a store in Camden, NJ. They were married 3/11/1913 in a Baptist Church in Wilmington, DE. He was born 5/4/1890 in Camden. After they were married they lived at 813 Spruce St. in Camden. In 1914, the family moved down the road to 709 Spruce St. Joseph was still working as a salesperson until 1917 when he opened an awning business in Camden. This business continued to grow until it became Joseph Horneff & Sons, Inc. having one store at 210 Federal St. in Camden and another in Collingswood, NJ. The business sold venetian blinds, awnings, window shades, and etc. By 1940, he was president of the business and he and his family were living in Camden. By 1973, Rita and Joseph were living in Cherry Hill, NJ. Joseph remained active in his awning business until he retired in 1970. He died 4/28/1974. Rita died 10/30/1983. Her funeral arrangements were handled by Murray-Paradee Funeral Home in Cherry Hill.
