Sansing and Elinor Robinson was born about 1803 in South and died 5 Aug 1855 in Oktibbeha County, Ms. (Castleman lists John's death date as 9 Jul 1855). He was a Baptist preacher. In 1850 , he is listed in Radfordsville Beat, Perry Co, AL census as aged 47.
John married about 1823 to Nancy Edwards, ba 1806. In the same 1850 census, William E. Edwards age 67 b VA and his wife Elizabeth age 63 b GA. were living next door. These could be Nancy's parents. (Also listed with William and Elizabeth were Michael Edwards age 29 b AL, and Reuben E Edwards age 26 b AL).

18. SUSAN W SANSING (John, James) daughter of John Peter Sansing and Nancy
Edwards, was born about 1832 in Perry Co, AL. In 1850 census (Perry Co, AL)
Susan was living in the same house as her brother, Francis and his wife Mary. They moved to Lowndes Co, MS (which later became Oktibbeha and Clay counties) around 1853 - 54 when her father began serving as a missionary for the Columbus Association. Part of the family stayed in MS, while the rest moved on to Texas. I do show that Susan W Caldwell signed a request for marriage license for her daughter, Mary Elizabeth, in March 1869 in Oktibbeha Co, MS.
Susan was married 15 Dec 1850 in Perry Co, AL to John K Caldwell ba 1819 SC.
