Notes for GAETENO COLLORAFFI:
In his death certificate, Gaetano's parents are named, both having died. It also states that he lived in Librizzi!

We read of Vincenzo in the death records of Sant' Agata Di Militello. This may be the same person as Vincenzo x Collorafi - of Salina, who we know of through verbal family records.

When Michelo's daughter, Marianna is married on October 23, 1826, Michelo is listed as having died, "fu".

Notes for GIUSEPPE COLLORAFI:
On his son, Rosario's death certificate, Giuseppe's profession is listed as a merchant. I have attached Giuseppe to this parent because of the clue given on his grandson, Nunzio's death certificate, that his father, Rosario, was not born in Patti. There was some interchange and relationship between the Collorafi's in Patti and those in the Librizzi/San Piero Patti area. This is reflected in surnames of spouses as well as tracing several of the early Collorafis and Colloraffis back to this area. On his son Nunzio's death record, Giuseppe has died by 1839.

We learn about Nunzio from a death certificate in Sant' Agata Di Militello. I believe that the date on this certificate is wrong by about 10 years.

Notes for CARMELO COLLORAFFI:
We learn about Carmelo from the death certificate of his son, Biagio Colloraffi, in Sant' Agata Di Militello in 1842. I placed him here because of the name. This may or may not be the correct placement, but, I believe, that Carmelo, if the son of Biagio, would have named his son after his father.

BASILIO8 COLLORAFI (GIUSEPPE X7, PADRE6 COLLORAFFI, ANTONINO5, DOMENICO4 CULLURAFI, PLACIDO3, DON2, COLOROFE1) was born Bet. 1766 - 1774 in Vallone Vina, Sicilia, Italy, and died February 14, 1855 in Vallone Vina, Sicilia, Italy. He married CARMELA COLORA COLLURA. She was born 1782 in Librizzi, Sicilia, Italy, and died Bef. 1878.

Notes for BASILIO COLLORAFI:
Basilio's profession is given as a landowner on the marriage record of his son, Giuseppe. His death record is in the civil records of Librizzi. It gives his age, place of birth and parents' names. On his death certificates it states that he was a farmer. His wife's name is also given. His profession is given as a farm hand on the death record of his daughter, Vincenzia. His age is also given on the birth record of his son, Giuseppe. We also read about Basilio on the death record of Maestro Musica, who dies in Vallone Vina on October 18, 1820. Basilio is a wittness. He is described as 36 years old, born in 1774. This gives him a different age than on his son's marriage record.

Notes for CARMELA COLORA COLLURA:
.The handwriting is difficult to read. Her profession is given as a filatrice or spinner on her son Giuseppe's marriage record & that of her son, Biagio. Her name is clearly written on the death record of her daughter Vincenzia in the civil records of Librizzi. Her profession is given as that of a farmer on Vincenzia's death record. We find Carmela's age on her son, Giuseppe's birth record. She is listed as "fu", dead, in the death certificate of her daughter, Vincenzia. Her last name is seems to be spelled as Colora. However, in order to help to identify her family, I have added the spelling Collura. There were quite a few Colluras who married into our family in the late 1700's and early 1800's... I know believe that the Colloraffi Famiglia is a branch of the Collura family that ruled the San Piero Patti area in the early 1700's.

9. PIETRO X8 COLLORAFI (GIUSEPPE X7, PADRE6 COLLORAFFI, ANTONINO5, DOMENICO4 CULLURAFI, PLACIDO3, DON2, COLOROFE1) was born in Librizzi Sicily, Italy, and died January 16, 1830 in Sant' Agata di Militello, Sicilia. He married CARMELA GUMINA. She was born in Librizzi Sicily, Italy.

Notes for PIETRO X COLLORAFI:
I strongly suspect that this Pietro X and the Pietro "link" , who died in Sant' Agata di Militello in 1830 are the same person, who has married twice, having a family, in Librizzi by Carmela Gumina and more children, by perhaps a 2nd wife, Beneditta Tassori. However, records and references are in different communities. It is also possible that there are two Pietro's, born at about the same time.

I have attached him to these parents only due to the possible date of his birth and the location...There is no proof to support that these are his parents. However, this is the only way that I can place these people in our family tree.
