Pietro is listed as a tailor on legal records in Sant' Agata Di Militello.
His wife, Beneditta is listed as a spinner. We find the death record or Pietro in the civil records of Sant' Agata. It states that he was born in Librizzi. What is so important about this Pietro Colloraffi is that he is one of the links of the Sant' Agata di Militello - Librizzi - San Piero Patti and Patti families. When he comes to Sant' Agata di Militello from Librizzi, he leaves sons in San Piero Patti. Rossario goes to Patti and takes up the profession of fruit seller with the other Collorafi families there. Family legend says that Domenico Collorafi from Vallone Vina had a brother Pietro who went to Sant' Agata di Militello. However, it is this Pietro who went there. His profession is a tailor. Gateno's profession is a barber. On his son, Rossario's death record, Pietro is listed as a farmer.

NOTE: I have suspect that this Pietro is the same person as Pietro X, who may have been married twice and lived in different communities. Please see note under Pietro X.

Beneditto Colloraffi is a very important link to the Colloraffi/Collorafi families. On his death certificate it states that he is a fruit seller and is born, worked in and died in Patti. He may have been married twice with his wife, at the time of his death being Rosa Calera. His name is definitely spelled with 2 f's. The profession of fruit seller is that of the majority of Collorafis in Patti.

  Notes for ROSA COLLURA:
I believe that this is the spelling of Rosa's surname and would be the same as the husband of Giuseppa Colloraffi, Beneditto's sister's husband. On the record the name seems to be mis spelled as Colera. This is another example of a surname being written the way that it is pronounced.

Carmelo Colloraffi is 23 years old in 1838 when he serves as a wittness to the birth of Antonino, son of Serafina Mannio and Grazicito Fazio. I placed him here because the family name is in keeping with this branch of the Collorafi family, as is his age and the place of his citizenship. His profession is listed as a barber.



14. ROSALIA X9 COLLORAFFI (GAETENO8, BIAGIO7, PADRE6, ANTONINO5, DOMENICO4 CULLURAFI, PLACIDO3, DON2, COLOROFE1) was born Abt. 1790 in Sant' Agata di Militello, Sicilia. She married BIAGIO VINCENZO VIGINERI PRESTI. He was born in Militello, Sicilia.

Notes for ROSALIA X COLLORAFFI:
We know about Rosalia and her husband from the birth record of her son, Giuseppe. It gives her age and says that she lives in Militello. This is from the civil records of S.A...I have placed her with this parents because of her husband's surname. This Vigneri family latter marries into this branch, as does the Presti family. Her profession is listed as a seamstress on the marriage record of her daughter, Teresa.

She was born 1820 in Sant' Agata di Militello, Sicilia, and died Bef. 1887.

Notes for MAESTRO BIAGIO COLLORAFFI:
Biagio's profession is listed as a barber on his marriage record, and birth records of several children. His marriage record gives us the names of his parents and his age. On the birth record of his daughter, Rosa, in 1854, his name is spelled with only one f - Collorafi. His parents are named on his death certificate and his birthplace is given as Caramia. It further states that his father, Gaetano was a resident of Sant'Agata Di Militello. On his death certificate, Vincenzo Zingales, age 30, born in 1857, comes forth as a wittness. Biagio's son, Domenico marries into this Zingales Botta family, as he married Guiseppa Zingales Botta. His place of death, perhaps his home is given as 19 Via Eslamlio.

Maria Teresa's profession is listed as a seamstress on the birth records of several of her many children. Her marriage record gives us the names of her parents and her age. She sometimes is known as Teresa, for example, on the birth record of her daughter Rosa in 1854. She has died before her husband, sometime before 1887, as she is listed as "fu" before her name on his death record.

This husband's mother is Maria Collura - another link of the Colloraffis and Collura family. Her death certificate, giving her age as 39, Her profession is given as a seamstress. Her fathter's profession is listed as a barber and her mother's as a seamstress.

Notes for ANTONINO COLLORAFFI:
I am guessing that these are the parents of Antonino. All we know about him is from the marriage record of his daughter, Angela in the civil records of Sant' Agata di Militello. It states that he is a farmer and that his wife is dead by the time that his daughter, Angela marries, at age 17 in 1863. His wife's name is very hard to read but looks like Caterina Baffoali. His daughter marries into the Amato family as do other Collorafis in Librizzi.

Angela is only 17 when she marries, which is young for a Colloraffi girl, and we have only see happen when a parent has died. Her marriage certificate states that her mother has died. She is a spinner.
