    What is ITKL?

ITKL stands for The Internet Tour for each Koi Lover and it is a group of sites that all have something to do with Koi. Every site has the ITKL-block on one of their pages. With this block it is possible for a visitor to visit all the sites in the Tour in a circular way.

    Nice idea. I also have a Koi-page, can I become a member?

Sure, the more members we have the more interesting the tour will be. Just go to the page 'Become a member' and follow the procedure. It's really easy, and its free!

Become a member, ok... But what's in it for me?

In becoming a member of ITKL, your site will recieve a lot more visibility and a lot more visits. How? On every ITKL-site there is a block with some links on it : prev5, prev, random, next, next5 and list sites. If a visitor clicks on one of these links he might arrive on your site! Example : say your site recieves id 14, then your page will be listed on the pages prev5 and next5 of the sites with id 9->13 and 15->19. This means that your site will be listes already on 10 different sites! Your site will also be listed on every page where a visitor clicks the link 'list sites'. Meaning that if the ring has 100 members, your site will be listed on all the 'site-list' pages of these 100 sites! In addition to that, I keep track of the best 10 visited pages in the ring and put them on the Top10 page.

    What's in it for ITKL?

Nothing much, I created ITKL to have an easy way of visiting Koi-pages. With the ITKL-block on every member-page, I, and every visitor of one of the member pages, is able to browse the internet for Koi-info without ever leaving the topic. And that's enough for me...

Do I have to put the HTML-code on my page to become a member?

YES. If you don't put the ITKL-block on your page, a surfer that follows the ITKL-tour will arrive at a dead point. For him, the Tour will have a dead end and that's not what we want, do we? Therefore, I'll often check the member-pages. If the ITKL-block is no longer there, they will be rejected from ITKL, and if they are still interested in being a member, they'll have to reapply for a membership!

    What's on the ITKL-block?

The HTML-code for the ITKL-block only displays the ITKL-logo and some links to the following pages :
    - prev5 : a link to a page with a list of the 5 sites that are just before yours
    - prev : a direct link to the site just before yours
    - random : a direct link to a random ITKL-site
    - next : a direct link to the site that follows yours
    - next5 : a link to a page with a list of the 5 sites that follow yours
    - list sites : a link to a page with all the member-sites of ITKL

Where do I find the HTML-code for the ITKL-block?

There are different places where you can find the code :
    1. When you subsribe your membership and you follow the procedure. At step 3 of the procedure the code will appear.
    2. You forgot to copy the code during the subsription-procedure. No problem. You will recieve a mail notifying you of your subsription with the HTML-code in it.
    3. You can always go to the 'Change your member-info' page. Supply your site-id and password and you will see a page with all your site information on it, including the HTML-code.

I want to change my pages, therefore I will be temporary down. Do I have to do something?

It is prefered that you go to the 'Change your member-info' page and put your site in the queue. Just send a mail if your site is back online and I will add you to the ring again. If you are not in the queue, a surfer might arrive at a dead end during his Tour.
Be aware that after 30 days you will be automatically removed from the queue. You will have to reapply for your membership!

I want to cancel my membership.

Are you sure??? Go to the 'Change your member-info' page and do so. I find it very regrettable...

The tour is circular. Does that mean that I will always have the same "neighbour"?

No. In fact you are right. The tour is circular, but that doesn't mean that you'll always have the same "neighbour". Let's say that the site just before yours (prev on your ITKL-block) doesn't recieve much hits. That would also mean that you have a bad place in the Tour. To prevent that this happens, the order of the tour changes every 2 weeks. So then you will have a new neighbour. Just go and check him out... He might have a great Koi-site!!
