*1. William Emory was b. ca. 1720. It is not presently known who his ancestors were, or if he was a part of the early New England Emery family. He married Mary Grant who was 1/2 Cherokee and b. ca. 1727. They are both buried in the Cherokee Nation, Tenn. They had three children who were 1/4 Cherokee.
2a. Mary Emory b. ca. 1747 in the Cherokee Nation, Tennessee, and m. 1. Rim Fawling, m. 2. Ezekiel Buffington, and the consorted with Joseph Martin, Jr., her sisters third husband, by whom she had one child.
*2b. Elizabeth Emory was b. ca. 1749 in the Cherokee Nation, Tennessee, and m. 1. Robert Due, m. *2. John Rogers. Information on their children is located under Rogers B.
*2c. Susannah Emory was born ca. 1751 in the Cherokee Nation, Tennessee and m. 1. Captain John Stewart, m. *2. Richard Fields. Susannah and Richard's children are located under Fields.
