The Harris Family is currently being researched, and new information on James Harris my be forthcoming.
*1. James Harris b. in Ga., ca. 1760, m. Lucy Fields b. ca. 1767 in the Cherokee Nation, Ga., Lucy was at least 1/4 Cherokee. James DIB if any is unknown, but he was probably white. Lucy's first husband was Daniel McCoy, Sr., Lucy and James had two daughters.
2a. Rachel Harris, b. ca. 1803 in the Cherokee Nation, Ga., and m. 1. Archibold Lowrey, m. 2. Harrison Dailey.
2b, Nancy "Nannie" Harris, b. ca. 1805, and m. Coloniel Walter Scott "Red Wat" Adair. Their children are listed under the Adair line.
