Linda's Crafty Chronicles

Vol 3 Issue 5 - December 2002

Welcome to Linda's Crafty Chronicles. I am devoting this issue to December and will start fresh with the January/February Issue in January 2003. Winter began here on October 1st with almost 2 feet of snowfall in one day and 14 hours of no power. Of course most of it was gone within 2 days from the heat front that followed. I am very busy getting my house ready for Christmas and getting gifts made and wrapped. I want to try and make most of my gifts this year(emphasis on TRY). I am including some links to great sites with great gift ideas. I am also including a few ideas of my own. What would Santa do without his reindeer? I have included a few ideas for them also. By now the kids have a severe case of "ants-in-the-pants" waiting for Christmas and parents are soon to have "back-to-school withdrawal." I'm including some fun things for the kids to do and keep busy. Don't forget to check out the bundle of free patterns I have created for this issue.

My Polymer Clay Tutorials: My clay tutorial this time is using the air dry clay instead of polymer clay. This is a wonderful medium for adults and tiny children to use and the whole family can enjoy making this Winter Christmas Mobile - This project will be posted and active by November 23 or sooner(My 5 year old granddaughter is going to make it).

I'm making slippers, hats and earwarmers for my yahoo group "Charity Hearts". My mother and I have finished and delivered the comfortghans for my brother Steven and his wife Samantha. Steven passed away quietly 1 week later at home amongst friends and family. I have started a charity in his name. If you would like to know more go to Steven's Toasty Toes. I have also included a page with many different tags to print out for donations to charities or for gift giving. I hope to have more up soon.
