May the miracle of His birth fill your heart with LOVE!
The Christmas Story according to Luke
And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, unto
the city of David, which is called Bethlehem...
To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child. And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.
And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a
manger;because there was no room for them in the inn. And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.
And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Gloy to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
---Luke 2:4-14
~LOVE~
If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love,
I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.
If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge,
and if I have a faith that can move mountains,.. but have not love, I am nothing.
If I give all I possess to the poor and. surrender my body to the flames,
but have not love, I gain nothing.
--- 1 Corinthinas 13
Love is patient, love is kind.
It does not envy, it does not boast,
it is not proud.
It is not rude, it is not self-seeking,
it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love nerver fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease;
where there are tongues, they will be stilled;
where there is knowledge, it will pass away.
For we know in part and we prophesy in part,
but when perfection comes, the imperfect will disappears.
When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child,
I reasonded like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me.
Now we see but a poor reflection; then
we shall see face to face. Now I know in
part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is LOVE
"In every thing give thanks:
for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you."
---- I Thessalonians 5:18
Do Not be anxious about anything
but in everything by prayer and petition
with thanksgiving, present your request to God.
--- Philippians 4:6
Come, Lord Jesus, be our guest,
and may our meal by you be blest.
~~Martin Luther~~(1483-1546)
