MY PERSONAL JOURNAL - NOVEMBER 1999

NOVEMBER 14, 1999

You can always tell when my life is very busy and full--I don't have time to write in my personal journal. It's also a sign that things are going well because I don't have that urgent need to get things off my chest. That's a good thing.

John and I did get to see each other last month. We met in Washington DC because he had a conference to attend and I wanted to finally do the tourist thing and visit the Capitol, the Vietnam Wall, the new FDR memorial, etc. We planned a whole day of sightseeing and it was great!! See for yourself by clicking here on the Wash DC page.... I was going to call up my sister and surprise her, but unfortunately, we were going at full steam to do all the things we wanted in a short amount of time and ran out of time. Sorry Sis!! Next time, I promise.

John and I also went to this very romantic, secluded 19th century restaurant in Clifton VA called The Hermitage Inn. We're talking candlelight, fireplace, and totally mouth-watering delicious food. A night to remember to say the least... A great trip to remember!!

During the last month, I was also given a great gift from John--a Video Camera for my computer! We are able to have face to face chats now and it is absolutely wonderful. I can also take snapshots of myself and send them to him or anyone else I want. See for yourself...

Let's see... on the 20th my mother and I met my brother Mike in Tallahassee for a day of fun and adventure. Had a long leisurely lunch at PoBoy's Creole Cafe... toured the State Capitol... and went on a walk through the 7 connected parks on called the Promenade area.

We then ventured back to Mom's town for a quick tour and beer before we all headed back to my place to spend the weekend. It was a lot of fun going down memory lane while pouring over hundreds of photos taken throughout the years. Very enjoyable family weekend.

Thanksgiving was a new adventure this year... Ribs and beer with my mother!!

Back.
