John Grieten "WE WILL WORK WITH EACH OTHER, WE WILL WORK SIDE BY
SIDE!" First of all, many thanks to everyone who has pitched in and kept the building clean in Hal Ayres' absence. Since he has not yet returned, even
though he is to be released from the hospital soon, we need to play it safe and to extend our planned cleaning schedule through April. I appreciate your making time amidst busy lives to keep up this essential ministry. For many it
is our appearance which reflects who we are; so let's keep the property smiling! Schedules for the Spring cleanup, on March 27th
(and Good Friday, rain date) are now posted in the narthex. The utilized format calls for teams of people working for half the day in the following areas:
If we have more on each team, or you want to sign up for a different task both in the morning and afternoon, great! The most important thing for those who attend is knowing their task ahead of time. So get a team together of people you love to work with, have fun with this, and the day will go fast! The 1999 mowing schedule is in the narthex; and again, get a team together and make it fun! Chim6ne and I decided, after moving into a townhouse, that we sometimes miss jumping on a tractor and cruising a big lawn! The message, once again, is HAVE FUN WITH IT! There were a few property challenges this month that were dealt with in a very inexpensive manner. Many thanks to Mark Belfiore who has a friend willing to remove snow for no cost! Also, a burned out parking lot lamp was replaced with the help of the friendly boom truck crew from 84 Lumber; which, as a result, saved St Nick about $60.00 on a scissors lift rental. Thanks again for all your support in this ministry, and for allowing me to 'pick the brains' of many of you! Tom told me this commission isn't easy, but with your help we'll make it fun! |
