Dordi's hipscore was 21(7:14).
Dordi was one of a nice litter of seven sired by our Ch. Kinderhorn Brann. The other bitch from the litter became
Ch. Axon Fable, owned by our friend Maureen Taylor. Here they are playing together - we know which is which because Dordi had a longer tongue! | |
Dordi had the sweetest of temperaments, and was a favourite with all the Horners' grandchildren. Dordi loved being stroked, and was a master of the 'head nudge' and 'paw round wrist' techniques which were capable of holding the favoured human captive for quite some time! Dordi also loved food, and kicked her bowl about the floor to say that she wanted a drink. Like her grandmother, Tara, Dordi was very intelligent, and seemed to understand everything you said. |
|
One judge called Dordi 'Peter Pan'. It is true, she never seemed to realize how old she was. Up until the last few weeks of her life, she had the energy and appearance of a much younger dog. In the end, it was cancer of the liver that took her away from us, all too quickly and too soon. Dordi was especially admired for her short back and smart outline. She was every inch the showgirl, demanding attention in the ring. Her party piece, shared by Fable and inherited from their dam, Krista, was her famous "Whoooo!" noise, which she usually made whilst moving round the ring, to the amusement of the spectators! Dordi may have left us, but her exuberant personality will long be remembered on the show scene! |
