My parents are Dick and Marty. They have been happily married for over thirty years. Currently, they reside on an 80 acre farm in a small town in Florida. My dad is in the construction business and my mom takes care of all her "children". By this I mean 3 dogs, 4 cats, 2 horses, and 20-something cows (not to mention my dad!!). In her spare time, my mom volunteers at the Leesburg Humane Society. She has helped to raise lots of money for the care of the animals at this no-kill shelter. She is also an avid photography buff, having been published in the local newspaper a few times. To stay fit, she takes aerobics and dance classes. Go mom, GO!! When not working, my dad relaxes by playing golf and swimming in the pool. He plays in tournaments about once a month and really kicks butt.
My sister is Michelle. She is three and a half years older than me, so I got to be the bratty little sister (Sorry for being a pain in the butt sis!). I admire and look up to her very much. She is my best friend. Along with her husband, Bruce, she owns and operates a mortgage firm, Spectrum International Mortgage Services. I am very proud of her for all she has accomplished so far in life, especially in her personal life...She has been married for eight years and had her first child, Chase William, on March 18, 1998. This leads me to the cutest part of my family....
My Nephew:
My little nephew is named Chase. He was born on March 18, 1998 at 3:46 pm. He weighed in at 5 lbs. 12 oz. and was 21 inches long. Perfectly happy and healthy, he has been a joy for the entire family. He is presently 4 years old with blond hair and hazel eyes. He is absolutely the most darling thing you have ever laid eyes on.
I am very lucky to be able to say that I have had the privilege to be very close to both sets of my grandparents. My dad's parents are Max and June. They have been together for over 50 years. My grandpa was in the Air Force, so they moved around a lot, but most of that side of the family is from North Carolina. My Grandfather just passed away on September 22 and he will be greatly missed. My Grandmother will continue to live in their lovely home in a beautiful community in Clermont, Florida.
My mom's mom is Raymonde. My grandma and mom immigrated to the US from France when my mother was 7 years old. My grandma married my grandfather, George, when I was just an infant, so to me, he is my true "Pops". She passed away in December of 1999 after a difficult battle with cancer. They lived in Orlando, Florida, but Pops moved up closer to my parents after my grandma died.
I love both sets of my grandparents very much and am thankful that they have been a close part of my life.
My Nana's name is Doris. She is my Grandma's (on my dad's side) mother, which makes her my Great-grandma. She lives in an assisted living facility in Leesburg, Florida. Her favorite pastime is looking at the Chippendale's calendar I get her for Christmas every year. What can I say....Nana rocks!! Can you believe that's five generations that are still living in my family?
My cousin is Christina. She is 19 years old, going on 29. She is doing great. She moved out on her own when she turned 18. She has an apartment in Oviedo and a good job as a server at The Black Fin in Winter Park Village. I love her to death.
