We are chosen by God. “for he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight”

We are Loved
“But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions.”

We are a new creation!
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!”

We are given good things!
“if you, then, thought you are evil, know how to give good gifts to you children, how much more will your father in heaven give good gift’s to those who ask him”
Matthew 7:11

We are protected!
“but the lord is faithful, and he will strengthen and protect you from the evil one”
II Thessalonians 3:3

When we face any challenge in life, we can claim a promise of God which is appropriate to our situation. To claim a promise means we apply it to our lives and count on God being faithful.

With nearly every promise in the scriptures, we are given some instructions as to how we are to cooperate with God to make the promise become a reality in our lives. Faith, prayer, earnest desire and an accepting and humble heart are all involved.

When we are obedient to God, we can look back over events and see how wonderfully faithful God is!

We are not expected to live this life without God’s help. But God does ask us to step out courageously and act as if his promises of faithful guidance and enabling are true. It is in taking such actions that we discover they are true indeed.

Dear Lord God, in your utmost glory hear my words of prayer. Forgive all my sins and let me come to you pure and honest. Help me to be strong and courageous. I will not be discouraged during this time of need, for I know that you will be with me where ever I go. Strengthen my heart and be with me today as always. Thank you lord for listening to your child.

Most of us are concerned about tomorrow that today passes by without us enjoying it. God wants us to depend on him for our daily needs and not to be anxious about tomorrow.

Dear Lord God, I am coming to you today with a pure heart, I am needful for your love and caring, forgive all my wrong doings and be with me as I ask for your guideness. God I know that you will meet all my needs, and will provide me with all your riches and every good gift. I ask humbly that you ease me of my worries. And simply help me to take one day at a time basking in your glory and love. I know I will be taken care of richly. As always your child

Depression can often be caused by a physical problem. However, it most often follows self-pity, rejection or loss of hope. God offers us the answer to depression.

Oh Dear Lord God, Be with me today as I pray for comfort for my soul. Help me to sow tears that will reap with songs of joy. Remove my spirit of despair and bestow upon me the crown of beauty. Help me to know that through your grace I have been saved and that is you most gracious gift. Renew a bright spirit within me and only smiles will be upon my face. Knowing that all will be well. Thank you most wonderful lord.

The bible places great importance on forgiveness. When we refuse to confess to God, or forgive another, we keep ourselves from receiving the fullness of God’s blessings. It is not that God withdraws these blessings, but that we have turned away from him through our fear and pride. We are not trusting in his mercy or love.

Dear Lord Almighty, hear my prayer: Knowing that I am a sinner and a mortal man I need all your glories bestowed upon my soul. I am needful for forgiveness and I repent my sins with an open heart. I know you are compassionate and gracious and abounding in love. I know that you will forgive and not anger at the wrong doings I have done in your name. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is your love.. Please sweep away my offenses like a cloud, and my sins as the morning mist. I know I have been saved. Praise you Lord.

God has a desire for us to live without disease. When we pray for healing, it may come to us emotionally, physically and or spiritually. Some healing comes suddenly, but most healing is a process which requires patience and perseverance. Sometimes, in God’s infinite wisdom, complete physical healing is not granted, but rather the strength to bear it. God does this for our maturity and so that his enabling power may be revealed.

Dear Lord God: Please hear the prayer of your suffering child. I love the Lord because you bend down and listen. Help me to pray as long as I breath. I am scared and frightened, I ask that you strengthen and save me, protect me for I am childlike. I know that your loved ones are very precious to you, and you do not lightly let them die. Dear lord God free me from my bonds and I will serve you forever! Praise the Lord

The peace that God offers is different from he peace the world offers. The peace of the world is absence from strife, while the peace that we receive from Christ is a quiet assurance in spirit of our difficulties. Even when there is no evidence that we should have peace, we can experience God’s peace, which is beyond our understandings. Nothing can rob us of this gift, only our lack of trust in God can spoil it.

Dear Almighty Lord my God: Please listen to your child, forgive and renew a bright spirit within me. I know in this world that mountains may be shaken, yet your unfailing love for me will not be shaken nor my peace removed, for you Lord have compassion in you. I shall not worry over anything whatever, but I will send upon you God every detail of my needs in earnest and thankful prayer. And knowing in the end I will receive the peace of God as my mind and heart rest in Christ Jesus. Praise the Lord!
