He married Sarah Bartram.

He was baptized in St. Sebastian Church, Nancy, Lorraine, France, October 11, 1760. Religion: Roman Catholic.⁽²³⁾

Claude Antoine Bertier and Sarah Bartram had the following children:

6 i. Frances⁵ Bertier. She married William McDaniel. William was born in Prince William Co, Virginia ABT 1784.⁽²⁴⁾ William was listed as the head of a family on the 1860 Census in Georgetown, Scott Co, Kentucky.⁽²⁵⁾

+ 7 ii. Mary T. Bertier was born ABT 1800.⁽²⁶⁾

8 iii. Caroline M. Bertier was born in Pennsylvania ABT 1805.⁽²⁷⁾ Caroline was listed as the head of a family on the 1860 Census in Georgetown, Scott Co, kentucky.⁽²⁸⁾
