WELCOME TO RON'S PLACE
This is a picture of our land near Fort Randall Dam at Picktown, SD. Lots of beautiful scenery and wild life are located there. We spend quite a lot of time there during the summer months.
Ron very proudly served nearly 30 years in the armed services for our country. He is retired now but still serves the country by volunteering his services in many ways. He belongs to the community American Legion. He is a volunteer fireman for the local fire department and a fire instructor for the fire department. He is a CPR instructor. He also just recently completed 110 hours of training to become an EMT basic.(Emergency Medical Technician) He believes in serving and doing his best for his fellowman.
When Ron was a child, he didn't have many toys but he wasn't deprived. What he didn't have, he made out of his imagination. He used baling wire and and other discarded stuff to piece together intricate farm machinery that actually worked. As he has grown older, things really haven't changed. He still likes toys but they are bigger now. Some of them are ready made and some are like when he was a child, built out of "stuff". Some of them actually work.
His prize possesion is a big, yellow backhoe, that he says is the best purchase he ever made.
