Yep, I helped build thatI have been to the Philippines and Norway on mission trips. We built a parsonage in the Philippines for a local church and in Norway we worked on getting a youth group together for one of the churches in town. The kids that I went with were from all over the United States and Canada.

My Friends At SchoolI went to Longwood College in Farmville, VA and received a degree in Elementary Education. College was fairly easy for some reason. I struggled through high school but things changed when I got to college. I don't know what happened but I'm glad it did because my room mates and I enjoyed talking and playing too much.

I met a guy straight out of college, we married and then divorced four years later. While I lived in the Tidewater area I worked for a headlight company making Dodge Intrepid and Eagle Vision headlights. Oh, and by the way, if they leak and get water in them, don't blame me I was just a lowly floor worker.

As was said on our "About Us" page I moved back home after the divorce, it was the best thing that could have happened to me. I guess because of the stress from the divorce I was having heart problems, was depressed and not really eating much.Dancing In a Fair One day my mom saw an ad in the local paper advertising line dancing class. She asked if I would be interested in going and I told her I would give it a try. That night Randy was there but he was quiet and we didn't say anything to each other even though he was the only one there about my age. I learned a few line dances and then they started teaching a couples dance. I didn't have a partner and so I was on the side watching. This woman came over to me and told me to go dance with her partner because she wanted to sit down and rest. She pushed me towards Randy and we started dancing. We really had a great time that night! After class we sat in the parking lot and talked for about two hours. From that night on we became dance partners, we were dancing four nights a week and having a blast!Jet Skiing in the Summer I was still going through my divorce but Randy was there to get me through the tough times. My parents lived on a lake and so as Randy taught me to dance I taught him to enjoy the water and to swim but that is his story and I will let him tell that part himself.

I got a teaching job that fall working for a private school. I taught preschool. It was my first teaching job since graduating from college. My class was really good so for a first year teaching I got really lucky.
