Randy and I got married when I got out of school for the summer. We had the traditional wedding with the long dress and tuxedo but our reception was pure country. We did a lot of line dancing that night. We were almost the last people to leave because it was so much fun and it is for only one night so we were living it up. On Sunday morning we headed to Pigeon Forge, TN. We stayed in a beautiful cottage for a week. What an incredible time we had! We saw a lot of the sights which included a twenty minute helicopter ride over the mountains but we spent most of our time in the hot tub. I am really looking forward to going back. We have already decided to just stay in and enjoy being together.
When we got back home things really fell in place for us. We had found a beautiful home in the country to rent and I had a new job teaching Head Start in the county we live in. I really enjoy my job and teaching those children is so rewarding. Randy and I had decided to begin trying to start a family right away because we assumed we would have trouble. We felt this way because for a year and a half I tried to get pregnant with my first husband and nothing ever happened. I guess it was his problem after all because three months later I was pregnant. What a shock for us! We were both scared and excited about it. We wanted a baby we just didn't realize it would be so soon.
My pregnancy went off without any trouble. I was on the go constantly, never slowing down for anything except the occasional nap. I was even able to jet ski and line dance up until eight and a half months. I may have been HUGE but I never had a bit of trouble. My labor took seven hours and for those women who are pregnant -go for the epidural- if you can't relax through contractions then forget having your baby the natural way. I also found it a plus because I could enjoy the birth and wasn't constantly being worried about the next contraction and how bad it might hurt. I breast fed Rachel and I can say it has been one of the most incredible things I have ever done! I don't really want to tell you too much about Rachel because she is going to talk about herself on her page.
Being a mother is really great! There are times when it is very hard to be a wife, mom and school teacher but I wouldn't trade it for the world! I hope that you have enjoyed reading a lot about me and that I have not bored you to another web site. I would love to hear about some of your childhood stunt or if you have any questions about being pregnant or having a baby I would love to chat with you. Please write to me, I love to talk.
