Amaziah served in the French and Indian Wars and was a soldier in the campaign of Gen. George Rogers Clark in the autumn of 1782 and in the campaign at Vincennes, Indiana. Amaziah and brother Morgan were on scouting parties under Col. William Whitley in 1794. All the above is from Virgil Woods' Vardaman Family book. The French and Indian War part of this seems pretty unlikely since that war ran from 1754-63, if the 1751 birth year is correct.
