Morgan Vardeman received a grant for 400 acres on the Green River in Lincoln Co., Kentucky on 28 April 1826.
Morgan's son Jeremiah Vardaman married Polly Coffee. Peter Riffe, a cousin of Polly Coffee wrote a story, The Romance and Marriage of Jeremiah Vardaman and Polly Coffee. A copy of this, along with a list of descendents is in the Ft. Wayne, Indiana public library.
According to Virgil Woods' Vardaman history, Morgan and brothers served in the French and Indian Wars. However, that war was over before Morgan was even born.
