Margaret (called Maggie in the 1900 census) was adopted by Frank and Elizabeth, according to information found on her death certificate in Minnesota. Her birth mother was named Mary McCormick. She joined the Beaulieu family at the age of three years in Sheldon, Iowa. About two years before she died, Margaret ``had a severe illness which weakened the action of the heart and left her delicate, though not an invalid.''
