After their marriage, William and Nettie lived near August, Illinois and later at Hamilton, Illinois, where he operated a general store. In 1889, they settled on a farm in Edna township, Cass Co., Iowa, where they lived until retiring to the town of Atlantic, Iowa in 1913, living at 905 East Sixth street. William was a member of the Christian church. William and Nettie also reared a grandson, Glenn Holaday, and two nephews, Harold and Herbert Morgan.
