Edwin J. Boysen (1915-1979) Edwin served at Camp Swift, Texas as a Sergeant during WW II. He left for service in 1942. Before leaving he worked in the Sweet Pickle Department at John Morrell in Sioux Falls.

Hobart Boysen (1922-1992). Hobart served as a Corporal in the field artillery unit in France in WW II. He worked on the extra gang at John Morrell before he left for service in November, 1942.
James Boysen (1924-1983) James was the first of the five Boysen brothers to join the ranks of the Navy. He was an ordnance man on a carrier in the Southwest Pacific during WW II.

Mary, Jess, and family moved to Sioux Falls in 1931.

Mary had 24 grandchildren on her death.

Five of Mary and Jess Boysen's sons served in WWII, four in combat at the same time. Two decorated and all with battle stars.

Jess Boysen is a farm laborer in 1900 on the farm of Michael Shannon (his future father-in-law). Jess immigrated to the US in 1893.
