The probate papers for Thomas' grandfather, Thomas Morgan, name as heirs the
surviving children of Page Morgan: Thomas Morgan, Carol Morgan,
Mrs. Grace Norris, and Mrs. Ethel Mae Johnson.
The obituary of T. P. Morgan, who died in 1926 in Palermo,
mentions a surviving sister, Mrs. Grace Norris of San Ramon.
T.P.'s great-granddaughter, Gayla Jennings, fills in that T.P. stands
for Thomas Perry. The connection by both Thomas and T.P. to Mrs. Grace
Norris as a sister is the evidence we have that Thomas Perry is the
son of Page and Rebecca. T.P.'s death certificate names his father
as Perry Morgan, born in Iowa; the mother's name is blank. So that
must be in error if Page is his father. There is a family connection
to the name Perry --- Rebecca Carmichael had a younger brother Perry who was
with Page and Rebecca's family in the 1870 census.
Besides naming his three children, T.P.'s obituary also names two step-children
of him as Mrs. W.M. Mills of Vacaville, and Mrs. S.D. Jenks of Winters.
