Yes, there was apparently an Elizabeth and an Elizabeth Maria in the same family. However, this Elizabeth Maria apparently went by Maria according to her marriage record. But she is named Elizabeth Maria in her father's probate records (listed separately from her sister Elizabeth Mendenhall) and her obituary.

An 1881 Preble Co. history book contained the following passage describing Dr. Hawley:

Doctor Albert Hawley was born in Warren County, Ohio in 1822. In the winter of 1845-6 he attended lectures at the Ohio Medical College in Cincinnati. In 1846, having graduated with honors, he commenced the practice of medicine at Gettysburg, Jefferson township, at which place he has since practiced his profession. His first wife was Martha Porterfield of Jefferson Township. His second wife Elizabeth M. Watt became mother of his five children, all of whom are living.

This same source also mentions an Albert Hawley, sargeant in the civil war.
