On July 28, 1833, John B. Morgan and his wife Elizabeth were received into the Sugar Creek Presbyterian Church, Shelby Co., Indiana.
Around 1842, John and his family moved to Nodaway County in northwest Missouri. (One son dies in Missouri in 1842.)
John B. Morgan received three US Land patents issued May 1, 1846 for land in Nodaway Co., Missouri:
The Morgan family cemetery is two miles southwest of Maryville on State Highway V, then south on gravel road three-fourths of a mile, turning right then almost immediately left down lane along fence line.
