I (Dennis Nicklaus) think this Sarah may be confused with Sallie Morgan, dau. of Samuel who is in the LDS AF database as also marrying a Luke Bird. But I guess it is really hard to know which one is which. The rationale for making Sallie a daughter of Reece (and his wife Mary Hood) is from Reece Morgan's Rev. Pension File. Reece's widow, Mary Hood, applied for a pension in 1839. Luke Bird testified in an affidavit that she was a member of his household in Franklin Co., VA. It makes sense that Mary would have gone to live with her daughter after Reece died.
