Eugene Lovejoy served in the Civil war from Nov. 20, 1863 to
Aug. 2, 1865, according to G.A.R. records of Post 329, Boone.
He was then a resident of Rocky Hill, Conn. He was a private
in Co. B, Regiment 1 of the Connecticut Cavalry.
Eugene joined Post 329 on August 27, 1887, age 42.
The photo of Eugene shows his left arm has been amputated.
He lost it in a railroad accident.
