Marie was a ``showgirl'' who performed, among other places, in the basement ``bar'' of Leonard Ziegler. She was well liked by her nephew's wife, Bertha (Young) Wolfe, who described her as a generous, warm person. Leonard Ziegler was the husband of the aunt of Bertha (Young) Wolfe. He converted the basement of his and his deceased wife's grocery store into a bar. Topless and bottomless dancers were part of the bar's entertainment. (Source: Bertha (Young) Wolfe).
