Josephine is apparently named as Mary M. Dunn in the 1900 census. Mary's age in 1900 matches Josephine's age in 1920. She's named M.M. Josephine in 1910, Josephine M. in 1930, and Josephine on her tombstone.

Josephine lived on her family's farm six miles west of Breda, Iowa most of her life, first with her parents, and then staying there with her brother Clare. When Clare died in 1961, Josephine moved into the St. Anthony Nursing Home.
