He had a successful business career as a financier and was president of banks in Nebraska and Colorado before moving to New York City in the late 1920's. There he headed the bond department of Merrill Lynch Pierce. He became president of the National Bronx Bank in 1930. He moved to San Diego, Ca in 1947, and was executive vice president of the Southern California Mortgage and Loan Corp. until his death in 1958 in San Diego, CA.
