Agnes was baptized into the Disciples of Christ church at Crawfordsville at age 14. Her cousin Elisha Scott wrote in her obituary: ``She fell asleep in the Lord after an illness of eleven weeks. She endured her afflictions with patience, and died happy, with the bright prospect of heaven.''
