This person is named Hetta, age 14, born in Indiana in the 1850 Cedar Co., Iowa census. LDS AF records name her Hester, born about 1833-36 in Muscatine Co., Iowa. Given the unreliability of the LDS AF, I'm going with the census. I got details about her Tharp marriage and family from the LDS AF initially. One great-grandson, James A. Tharp, called her ``Hattie.'' Note that her 1862 death date is just after the birth of her son Thomas.
