A myriad of Angels surround us,
But they seldom do make themselves known.
They're on call to the Heavenly Father,
Who commands them, with love, from His throne.
I know that I may never see one,
But to know they are near gives me joy.
God can send them to Earth with a message,
Or as guardians from danger employ.
I'm glad there are Angels about me,
I'll never be left all alone,
And when God takes me home into Heaven,
I'll join them to sing 'round His throne.

How vivid are the thoughts of days gone by
They flash in clarity like
lightning in the sky
How mellow are the memories of the past
Their sweetness, love and beauty
ever last
How blest are we, whose memories are clear
We still recall those times of yesteryear
How dear to us the things we did together
They live eternal, in our thoughts,
forever
I'm very glad, our Father, reigning up above
Created us according to His love.
And in His mercy made it understood
That we forget the bad and reminisce
the good.
"The memory of the just is blessed...."
Prov. 10:7 (KJV)

I trust the Lord, for He's the one
Who knows what's best for me.
I yield myself to Him alone,
His faithful child to be.
I need His grace to keep me pure,
And strength to do His will.
I need His blessing in my life,
His love, my heart to fill.
When troubles come along life's way,
His promise still is there;
He'll not allow a trial to come
That's more than I can bear.
So hand in hand, we'll walk the road
Where all the saints have trod.
And all my life, I'll live for Him,
And keep my trust in God.

As I sit in this pew, I offer this prayer,
Holy Spirit, Companion, and Guide;
May I open my heart to Your teaching,
And leave all my distractions outside.
Hear my praise, and accept my devotion,
Hear my prayer for those who're in need.
May Thy Word be received with all gladness,
That my hungering soul, You will feed.
May I hush to hear Your voice, alone, Lord.
May I seek to find Your Holy Will.
Lord fill me now with Your peace and Your love,
As Your message my heart does infill.
Amen

I know why they call us folks "seniors".
Graduation will soon come to pass.
As we get our diplomas in Heaven,
Then the juniors will reach senior class.
But you sophomores and freshmen will follow;
And we know life is of short duration.
Study hard, so your Heavenly Father
Will be there at your graduation.

I ask God's blessing, as I bowl,
That He, my game will bless.
I ask not for a higher score
But strength to do my best.
I ask, that I might concentrate
On fundamental things.
So I'll achieve consistency
That only practice brings.
That He will still my shakiness,
And dry my sweaty palm;
That He will grant me confidence,
And give me peace and calm.
But more than this, help me to show
More friendliness and love;
For I know my strength and confidence,
Is a gift from God, above.

The natural man's inclination
Is to grab everything he can keep;
No matter that others around him,
Might consider him selfish and cheap
.
He thinks he deserves more than others,
His ambition is taking first place,
His greatest enjoyment is "getting",
And of giving, there's surely no trace.
But God demands more from a Christian;
We should give from a heart full of love.
As He gave up His son, for us sinners,
Our salvation, a gift from above.
Love is expressed in our giving,
So faith teaches us to believe
That for all those who follow Christ's teachings,
It's more blessed to give than receive.
...for man looketh on the outward appearance,
but the Lord looketh on the heart.
1 Sam. 16:7 (KJV)

FAITH'S OUTREACH To give to those around us, In our own neighborhood, The message of Salvation Through Jesus' precious blood. To bring the children Jesus loves To meet Him, in their youth; That they may serve Him all their lives, Abiding in His truth. To feed and nurture all His flock; Those trusted to our care. To help His children grow in grace; And broken lives, repair. To reach around the whole wide world With missionary zeal; To pray and give and serve with love, As we work our mission field. ...That's faith's outreach! John 9:4 (KJV) "I must work the works of Him that sent me, while it is day: The night cometh, when no man can work." by Ray Prillwitz

GOD'S ENABLING GRACE When God entrusts a task to us, He gives enabling grace. He shows us how to do the task, Providing time and place. We'll never prove inadequate; He knows our every lack. He'll give us overcoming power O'er Satan's fierce attacks. When we need wisdom, He'll supply; He'll give us all we need. No task will be too large for us, By faith, we will succeed. God could do the task himself, His awesome power impart. But He has chosen to use us; Our hands, our feet, our hearts. If only we depend on Him, And follow, as He guides; We will accomplish all He asks, And honor Him besides. by Ray Prillwitz

GOD'S PLUSES (The Christian's Benefits) There is a love, that can't be fathomed, There is a bond, that's rarely found. There is a guide, who gently leads us, There is a grace that has no bounds. There is our Lord, who died on Calvary, There is a faith, without dispute. There is our God, who gave His dear son, There is a truth that's absolute. There is a mansion, up there in glory, There is a peace, serene and rare. There is a crown, for those who serve Him, There is a life, beyond compare. by Ray Prillwitz

HOME AT LAST I think each day, how heav'n will be; It's where I'll spend eternity. I know this body made of clay, Will be made new by God one day. We'll look like Him, in perfectness, All dressed in His true righteousness. Each blood-bought child, His face shall see, And pure and holy we will be. No more by faith...we'll live by sight; And God Himself, will be the Light. No more sorrow, pain or grief; From worldly cares, we'll have relief. God will wipe away each tear; There'll be nothing there to fear. We'll never age, we'll not grow old, There'll be no sickness there, we're told. And sin is banished from this place; We'll then be sinless, by His grace. There's nothing on this world we'll miss, For we shall have eternal bliss. And with the Angels we will sing, As round His throne, His praises ring. And with our Savior we shall be, At home, at last, eternally. by Ray Prillwitz

OUR LOVE, HIS LOVE It seems our love grows sweeter, The older that we grow. Love makes our lives be mellower, And we often let it show. We hug a lot, some kisses, too; Sometimes we're holding hands. We know the time's approaching, When we'll join angelic bands. Our love grows sweeter every day, Because we two are one; We want our love to be sustained, 'Til our life on earth is done. But although our love is rich and deep, It simply can't compare With God's love for us, when He gave His son, At the cross, our sins to bear. His love is also there to heal Our sorrows, pain and woe; It reaches far beyond our ken, Much more than we can know. His love is truly endless, And we cannot fathom why, But He will take us to His home, Our mansion in the sky. by Ray Prillwitz

THE GRACE OF GOD Why does God love me, a sinner so vile? And why did He choose me to be His dear child? Why does He promise a mansion up there? And why does He listen and answer my prayers? I know if I asked every wise man around, The answer requested would never be found. But I'm sure I will know when I see His dear face, He will tell me "My child, it is only by grace". "For by grace are we saved through Faith; and that not of yourselves; It is the gift of God; not of works, Lest any man should boast." Eph. 2 : 8, 9 (KJV) by Ray Prillwitz

WHY ME? For many of us the most-used word, Other than "me" or "I", And the word that causes the most dismay, Is the common adverb "why". And if "why" and "me" are placed together, It's doubly difficult; It makes it far less likely That an answer will result. This question usually shows to all Our selfishness displayed; The "why" is honest, but add the "me", And our motive is betrayed. Self-pity shows that we are weak, And though the trial be tough, For those who put their trust in God, Their faith will be enough. And if we ask our Lord for strength, The answer comes back clear; He helps us overcome our lack, And faith replaces fear. And though the question's often asked, It really shouldn't be; We ought to put our trust in God, And never ask, "why me"! WILL WE BE WATCHING? Our Lord has promised in His word, To return to claim His bride; To take us to our home above, Forever by His side. He said no man can know the time, Nor even know the season; It could be now, today, this hour, But ours is not to reason. He said be sober, vigilant, His second coming, cheer. Expectancy should be our mood, Dispelling doubt and fear. O Lord remind us every hour, Who wait to see Thy face; That we who keep on watching, Will be raptured by Thy grace. ******* "...Let us watch and be sober." IT'S JUST ANOTHER STEP (IN OUR JOURNEY TOWARD HEAVEN) It's just another step, when a child of God is hurting, And just another step, when a Christian trips and falls. It's just another step, when we cry in deep bereaavement, And just another step, when for help, on God we call. It's just another step, when Satan sorely tempts us, And it's just another step, when we fail to meet the test. It's just another step, when our lack of faith betrays us, And just another step, when we fail to do our best. But it's also just a step, when we lead one to the Savior; And it's just another step, when we help to dry one's tears. It's just another step, as we pray for God to heal them, And it's just another step, when He takes away their fears. Yes, it's just another step, so let's be faithful; So that we can say for every step we trod, That we tried to do the will of Him who saved us; 'Til we step into the presence of our God. by Ray Prillwitz

BECAUSE YOU ARE MY FRIEND... I want to tell you of God's love; It reaches out to all. We all have sinned and need His help, His love awaits our call. No one of us has gone so far That God can't reach him there; Our sins can never take us past His tender, loving care. He simply asks, that in our hearts, We'll make for Him a place. Believing His redemption plan; Salvation by His grace. He died on Calv'rys cruel cross, Our sins, His shoulders bore; He took our punishment, alone, That we might die no more. I pray that you might heed His call, As I did, long ago. You, too, can have His joy and peace, And a renovated soul! I tell you this...... Because you are my friend! ********** "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved" Acts 16:31 (KJV) by Ray Prillwitz

A REFLECTION God, help me to live my religion, To emulate Christ every day; So that others may see dedication, As I study and witness and pray. Give me a heart of compassion For the souls of those who are lost. Help me tell them how Christ died to save them, By His death on Golgotha's dread cross. Give me the words to persuade them That you hold your arms open wide; The salvation you offer so freely, Is for all, for whom Christ Jesus died. *********** I hope that my life's a reflection, That mirrors the love of my Lord; And I pray that my frail imperfections, May be dimmed by the Light of His Word. :Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in Heaven." Matt 5:16 (KJV) by Ray Prillwitz
When we are stricken with disease
That takes away our breath,
Our strong hearts falter then, with fear,
That this will end with death.
How precious is that breath of life
That keeps our strong hearts going;
So we must do the best we can,
To keep that life-line flowing.
We struggle hard to get our breath,
Inhalers give relief;
And nebulizers give us help,
To cause our lungs to breathe.
And sometimes oxygen is used;
We need to take it pure.
These all just treat the symptoms.
But we know there is no cure.
And as we struggle, in our pain,
It rests our hearts to know;
That there are others near, who care,
As heartfelt love they show.
They give their love unselfishly
As friends in need, to be.
We value much their fervent prayers,
That bring sweet serenity.
Lord, help us savor every day,
The breath of life you give,
And the love of friends around us,
As long as we shall live.

Written for my daughter Sharon
God sees my affliction, He knows all my pains,
So why won't He help me, my health to regain?
Doesn't He hear me, as I offer my prayer?
Is He simply too busy, or doesn't he care?
To answer those questions, I decided to look
For proof of His caring, contained in His book.
The Bible gave answer in word plain and true;
He faithfully watches o'er me and o'er you.
He cares for the sparrow, and sees when they fall;
Can I doubt that He hears me, as on Him I call?
The hairs on my head are all numbered, you see:
That bespeaks of His love and compassion for me.
In the Bible, it tells me that those He loves best,
Are the ones He entrusts with the difficult tests.
He asks me to cast upon Him every care;
He will not make my burden too heavy to bear.
But my Lord gives me promise of courage and grace,
As He shows me His hands, the nail prints to trace;
And whispers, "my child, I know about pain,
Hold on a while longer, I am coming again."

HEAVENLY SUNSHINE
If you see me when I’m crabby or impatient;
If on my face there’s not a happy smile;
If from my mouth comes words both mean and hurtful;
I hope you know, that’s really not my style.
So when I know I’m in that situation,
The remedy I know, both how, and where;
I separate myself from other people,
And on my knees, I go to God in prayer.
I hope you then see that I’m really happy;
That the smile that’s on my face is really mine.
And that my life reflects His constant blessing,
As my Heavenly Father grants me His sunshine.
by Ray Prillwitz
Long ago ere time began, the Lord, he made a plan;
Among the things He planned to make, was in His
image, man.
He knew that man would make a mess of all that
He created;
And would estrange himself from God, no more
to be related.
So He sent His love-note down to Earth (the Bible
tells the story).
In His great love for sinful man, He sent His
son from glory.
He pledges love for you and me, to us it’s freely
given.
Accept His son, and live with Him, forevermore,
in Heaven.

I often wondered who would be
The one true Valentine for me.
And though I searched both high and low,
Try as I might, she failed to show.
And though I dated three or four,
I always ended up, unsure.
I thought that I would never know
The one my heart had wanted so.
So then I prayed that God would lead,
And send the mate that I would need.
I asked Him to prepare my heart,
That I might truly do my part;
That in this marriage there would be,
True Christian love and unity.
That God’s great blessing would be given;
A marriage, truly made in Heaven.
And though I prayed with much belief,
I grasped the answer with relief;
For God had sent me, for a wife.
The one I searched for all my life.
The God who knew my imperfections,
Used her life to make corrections.
Two needy people, God did bless,
And gave us both, true happiness.

You do believe in prayer, you say,
But nothing happens when you pray.
You ask for cures to heal your ills,
And for the cash to pay your bills;
You ask, and ask, sincere in prayer,
But it seems like God just doesn’t care.
But maybe in your case, it’s true
That God is just a stranger, too.
The Father that He wants to be,
Has not become reality.
The only prayer that God will hear;
The only way to reach His ear;
Unless you are His blood brought child;
(until your heart is reconciled)
Is one of penitence and pleas
Of true repentence, on your knees.
Just trust in Christ, the work is done;
Salvation, then, for you is won.
Then when you pray He’ll hear your plea;
I know, because he answers me.
You’ll be His child, and in His care.
You’ll truly, then, believe in prayer.
by Ray Prillwitz
The Bible says that God so loved,
He gave His only Son,
To die on Calvary’s cruel cross.
Salvation thus, is won.
Our sin estranges us from God,
And thus, from Heaven above.
But if we place our faith in Him,
He’ll save us by His love.
Though we deserve eternal Hell,
Like all the human race;
Our Lord, He took our punishment,
In love, He took our place.
It’s time for your decision now,
Accept His love, His word.
And show to all the world around,
You’re trusting in the Lord.
by Ray Prillwitz
He is risen: Hallelujah!
He is risen as He said.
Death’s dark grave no longer holds Him;
He is risen from the dead.
Hallelujah, what a Savior!
He has conquered death and grave.
Lo, His power, His love, His mercy,
Only He my soul could save.
Resurrected Christ, I praise You,
King of Heaven, Lord of lords.
How I praise You for salvation,
And all the love that it accords.
By Ray Prillwitz
God showed us His Grace when He sent us His son,
To be born as a baby in Bethlehem’s stall;
To establish for us His great plan of salvation;
In grace, this great offer was meant for us all.
God showed us his Love when the Savior was willing
To be taken by soldiers, at terrible cost,
To pay the great price for the sins of all sinners;
He suffered, and bled, and He died, on the cross.
God showed us His Power when our Lord rose in
victory;
Death’s chains were broken by power divine.
From death unto life, He has power to save me,
With grace, love, and power, new life now is
mine.
By Ray Prillwitz
They crucified my Lord one day;
They thought Him but a man.
They laid Him in a borrowed tomb,
It was His Father’s plan.
An angel asked His mourners,
Who neared the tomb in dread,
“Why seek you here the Savior,
He’s risen from the dead.”
He broke the sting of death, that day;
He rose up from the grave.
To all who put their trust in Him,
He has the power to save.
Each child of His need not fear death;
Our Savior, in His love,
Translates us by this loving power,
Up to our home above.

vs.1 At the Cross I found my pardon;
All I have to Him I give.
At His feet I learn to follow,
In His presence now I live.
vs.2 Every day I need His blessing,
As I try to do His will.
And His promise to be with me,
Makes my hungry spirit
thrill.
vs.3 He has given a commission;
I must go and tell the lost.
I will tell
them of Salvation,
With no thinking of the
cost.
vs.4 He is coming soon to take me
To His heavenly home on high;
When my loved ones gone before me,
All will meet me in the sky.
Chorus: Hallelujah, what a Savior.
by Ray Prillwitz
I’ve a longing in my heart to see my Savior,
And a yearning just to see His blessed face.
To feel the wounds and nail prints in His body,
For they show He bore the cross, to take my place.
It is not mine to set the time or season;
I know not when my Lord will call my name;
But I am ready for a brand new body,
With a rich new voice His praises to proclaim.
Until that time I wait His blessed coming.
With confidence, the patient race I’ll run;
And pray that He will find me truly faithful;
That I will hear Him say to me “well done”.

We praise our God for saving grace,
For saving us from sin.
But there are millions in this world
Who never heard of Him.
Across the wide expanse of sea
Are nations bathed in fear.
They live their lives in godlessness,
Without a chance to hear,
We need to tell them of God’s love;
How Christ redeems from sin.
How God can change their fears to hope,
And make them pure, within,
So God presents to us a task,
A challenge we must take.
He says, “Go into all the world”,
And win them for His sake.
Let’s ask ourselves if we will go,
To follow His command;
Will we yield ourselves to Him,
To join His faithful band?
To those of us who cannot go,
It’s up to us to pray;
To lend support as God allows;
To send them on their way.
God has promised crowns to them
Who labor by His grace.
We hope to hear Him say, “Well done”,
As in Heaven we take our place.
So let’s be faithful to His word,
Our hearts with fire burn.
Let’s seek to bring the lost to Him,
And look for His return.
