That's me in the rocker on a bad day.
We had decided that we wanted to raise our children in
this environment and that we would do what ever it took to make that happen.
Our children, we have three, were just starting school at the time so
it was a good time to make a change if we were going to do it. Our
oldest son was starting first grade and our daughter was starting
kindergarten. Our youngest son was only two and a half. The store was
always a lot of work, but it offered us an invaluable amount of time to
spend with our children. We were always able to adjust our schedule to
attend all their activities at school. We grew strong as a family
because we worked together and played together. We had the lake to
enjoy plus all that the Adirondack Mountains have to offer. Now that
seventeen years have passed, and with our nest quickly emptying, we are selling the
store and moving on to our next adventure.
There are all kinds of things to do here in the
Adirondack Mountains of New York State. We have hiking,swimming, scuba
diving,boating, water skiing, camping,fishing and then there is winter
with snow skiing, snow shoeing, snowmobiling and ice fishing. And let's
not forget everyone's favorite "snow shoveling"
