This page is dedicated to my dearest Simcha. Simcha was my first Pekingese furbaby and the best little dog anyone could ever wish for. "Simcha" is a Hebrew word which means "a happy time" and that's just what it was when we got her. She was just four months old when we brought her home, and she seemed to be all eyes, but we later found out that she was all heart. She was very intelligent, very loving and so very sweet. She brought so much joy into our lives for what had seemed to be a very short eleven years. She developed heart disease at the age of eight years and we kept her alive in a good quality of life for the remaining three years. The day we had to put her to sleep was the worst day of my life. It was the hardest thing I ever had to do. When I think about it, I feel that it is really amazing how a little 10-pound furbaby could make such an impression upon your life and then leave such an emptiness within your heart once they have gone. Although she is now at Rainbow Bridge, I feel that she is and always will be with me, because I have such wonderful memories of her in my mind and heart. I will never forget her, for she was not "just a wonderful little dog", she was actually one of the best parts of my life.
In this tribute, please share with me
some memories of Simcha's life.
