Jeepers! A girl's got to eat. This narrative is from an anonymous contributor. Alarmingly, this person had only 2 sessions before trouble appeared.

Hello,
I wish to remain anonymous, but I really felt compelled to also share my experience with EMDR.
I had EMDR therapy about 2 years ago, I had 2 sessions. Well, about 2 months after the EMDR, I experienced a "seizure-like" episode. I called my EMDR therapist and asked her what the heck was going on and she said she didn't know, she referred me to a neurologist. I made an appointment with a neurologist and got one within a day, and within that day, I experienced "attacks" like every half hour. I almost drove off the road getting to my appointment. I had an EEG and was put on tegretol. Since then, I've had 2 more EEG's, one sleep-deprived, and have now been experiencing full body "seizures" daily since.
I've seen 3 neurologists who claim I have psychogenic seizures, and can't figure out what's wrong. And now I'm being passed off to a 4th neurologist because my most recent neurologist doesn't know what else to do.
I've had to quit my job, I can't drive, I'm disabled from this.
I know the EMDR did this to me. I won't give up until this is settled. More people need to know that EMDR can do a lot of harm.
I will fight this and prove to society that EMDR harmed me until the day I die. EMDR has ruined my life and I want to feel validated, compensated, and heard. I encourage others to speak out if they're afraid if something has happened to them, too. The more people speak out, the closer we will come to conquering this. I appreciate the story from the guy in Canada, too, don't give up!
I give permission to post this on your website.
Thank you.
