Charles Chase, (1753-1822), served as a seaman.

David Beebe, (1747-1840), was placed on the pension roll of Lorain Co., Ohio, 1831, for service of private in the Continental Line. He died in Elyria, Ohio.
William Hodge, (1734-79), enlisted from Waterbury and died from the effects of wounds in service.
Gideon Hotchkiss, (1716-1807), who had fought in the early wars, served on the first Waterbury Committee of Safety. He organized a company for the relief of Danbury.

Gr.-gr.-granddaughter of John Allan and Mary Patten (1746-1819), his wife; Theophilus Wilder and Lydia Cushing (1745-1811), his wife, m. 1762.
John Allan, (1746-1805), was a member of Parliament of Nova Scotia when war was declared. He secured the alliance of the Indian tribes of that section for the Colonies; Congress gave him a colonel's commission, 1777, and with his Indians he protected the northwestern frontier. Nova Scotia offered a price for his arrest, his property was burned, wife and sons John and Mark imprisoned.
Massachusetts granted him a tract of land and Congress gave him 2,000 acres in Ohio for losses in the patriot cause.
He died in Lubec, Maine.
Theophilus Wilder, (1740-1821), commanded a company of militia and served to the surrender of Cornwallis. He was born in Hingham, Mass.; died in Perry, Maine.
Samuel Sprague, (1753-1832), served as a private in the Massachusetts militia. He was born in Abington, Mass.; died in Pembroke, Maine.

John Bayard, (1738-1807), served as chairman of the Committee of Inspection for Philadelphia County. He was colonel at the battles of Brandywine, Germantown and Princeton, and for his gallantry was complimented by Washington. In 1777 he was appointed member of the Board of War; was elected speaker of the Assembly and, 1781, a member of the Supreme Executive Council. He was born in Cecil Co., Md.; removed to Pennsylvania, 1756; died in New Brunswick, N. J.
