Edward Antill, Jr. (1742-89), volunteered, 1775, under Montgomery and was appointed chief engineer of the army. In 1776 he was lieutenant-colonel of Hazen's regiment, was captured on Long Island and exchanged in 1780. He was born in Piscataqua, N. J.; died in St. Johns, Canada.

John McCutcheon (1750-1842) served as private, 1777-80, with the Virginia troops under Capt. Andrew Lockridge, and other commands. He was born and died in Augusta County, Va.
William Raymond (1744-1822) served as private in Capt. Nathaniel Wood's company, which marched on the Lexington Alarm. He was born in Middleboro, Mass.; died in Woodstock, Vt.
Caleb Emerson (1741-1811) served as private, 1777, in Capt. Hezekiah Hutchins' company of volunteers which marched from Hampstead and joined the Northern Continental Army at Saratoga. He was born in Haverhill, Mass.; died in Marlborough, N. H.
Knight Sprague (1711-1804), in 1776-77, was a member of the Committee of Correspondence from Spencer, Mass. He was born in Hingham; removed to Leicester prior to the Revolution, and, in 1776, was living in Spencer.
Joseph French (1702-94) served as a member of the committee of Inspection, 1777-79. He was born in Salisbury, Mass.; died in Hampstead, N. H.
Samuel Brown (1703-84) was a member of the 2nd Provincial Congress, 1775, from Stockbridge, Berkshire County, Mass., where he died. He was born in Watertown, Mass.
