dAnIeL emerged on the entertainment scene for about 2 years but has made commercials for Vitasoy, Travel and USA Cotten. And recently, dAnIeL was asked to take a commercial deal for a male cleanser.
At the 5th Anniversary party of the Kowloon Shopping Centre (Sorry i'm not sure about the name), dAnIeL said that actually he is offered some commercials. There is a shampoo ad but becoz of time constraint it couldn't be done. The pay is not the main criteria, it must complement the image of the promotional album.
dAnIeL said that he will not be against commercials for male products as long as the shoots are decent.
dAnIeL will be coming out with a cantonese album in June and he will pick one of the commercial to complement the album.

Through a telephone interview yesterday, dAnIeL revealed that he has spent 7 figures on clothes last year, which he felt heart wrenching about. His income balances out his expenditure but the clothes at hone are piling up and many of them may not be able to worn again. So dAnIeL's thinking of donating them to charity or sell them off at a second-hand auction.
dAnIeL was asked why did he felt heart wrenched when surely the company must have subsidised, but dAnIeL said that his expenditure on clothes are not subsidised by the recording company. About reports saying that dAnIeL spent ten thousands over dollars on make-up, he clarified that he would only buy one set each year. And becoz his skin cannot tolerate expensive makeup, so the makeup he uses is of average prices. Furthermore, dAnIeL is against refining the eyebrows and manicure. He feels that besides the pain, he also believe that he is in luck so he doesn't refine his brows.
dAnIeL will be holding a fans' gathering on the 4th of April in Taiwan. And there will be 30-40 fans arriving from HK to participate. Besides the mini concert, dAnIeL will also hold 43 autograph sessions. But becoz of the large number of places which dAnIeL may not be able to finish his autographs, he would paste stickers on the CDs to avoid disappointing the fans.

dAnIeL and GiGi who are two young singers, besides getting support and recognition from fans, they were also praised by their senior (Sorry dunno who she is), pointing out that these two are today's HK best and have the most potential. She also said that dAnIeL is pretty good in his singing, a talented artise along with GiGi, are very hardworking. They are not only idols but has the potential.
When dAnIeL reached HK and heard that he was well-looked upon by his senior, he was elated. dAnIeL said "I'm very touched. I must thank those who recongise my vocals. Actually most people will focus on the image of idols and neglect the singing, so I place high importance of my music performance."

dAnIeL and Fiona was at "Tai Gu Cheng" for an autograph session for the"USA Cotten" commercial. A big group of dAnIeL's fans turned up but Fiona was not welcome among them. When she was introduced on stage, she was booed. And when the part where dAnIeL was kissed by Fiona is shown on screens, she was being shouted at, showing the jealousy of the fans.
After that, dAnIeL said that there is a taiwanese fan who sent a letter saying that any TV Station that plays the commercial will be blasted. He hopes that the commercial will be accepted by everyone.
When asked if dAnIeL will go after Fiona, he laughed and said;" She's too young. What if there is any misunderstandings and lead up to court?"

dAnIeL performed at a fans' gathering in a shopping complex organised by "USA Cotten" the day before, attracting more than 500 fans. Seeing how supportive his fans were, dAnIeL, stricken with flu kept his smile and played games with his fans.
dAnIeL has caught the flu but could not consult a doctor as he has to go to Taiwan for the promotions of his albums. The day prior to his performance, dAnIeL had high fever. Though so, he was pretty much himself on stage, playing games with his fans.
dAnIeL has recently become the representative of a charity organisation for vegetated patients and ask those who has recipts to donate them as cash. dAnIeL said that when purchases are made, there will be recipts. The government will have a lucky draw every month, the top prize is $200,000. So he is asking on behalf of the charity to have the shoppers donating their recipts so when any of the recipts got the prize, the charity will get the cash.
dAnIeL also said that his mum has specially made a call to him to congratulate him on the success of his album on the IFPI for only 3 weeks, yet had obtained the top position. She was also concerned about dAnIeL flying across the state becoz of the recent plane crash. But dAnIeL said,"There is no use worrying. I will still have to take the chance. Actually being an artise, even on stage is dangerous. If there is someone holding a gun aiming at you, you won't even know. Even if you don't die of the shot, you will die of the pain." (Choi!)
On the other hand, there are news that when Leon leaves Polygram, dAnIeL will become the seond big Brother of the company. dnaiel said that being a big brother or not is not important. If the albums do well, being a "Liao Ge"he wouldn'tmind. (Sorry, dunno the meaning of a "liao ge")

DaNiEl drove away Leon??? No Way!
Two years ago, when dAnIeL first started out, there has always been sayings going around that dAnIeL is "Heavenly King" Leon Lai's successor. This is because the both of them are from well-to-do families, both exhudes the same gallancy. And with much coincidence, USA Cotten picked Leon Lai as it's representative last year and this year, dAnIeL was chosen.
All these coincidences has led to new rumours when Leon decided to leave Polygram after 7 years. It was said that Leon was forced to leave by dAnIeL. dAnIeL who has just arrived from taiwan yesterday has something to say.
Stricken with flu, dAnIeL said in a hoarse voice that both him and Leo are singers, not compeitiors. Each has his market. Both of them has no conflicts, and it cannot be said that who drove away who. Just like "Four Heavenly Kings" in Hongkong. Each has got their own fans. When asked how is his relation with Leon, dAnIeL grinned and said," I don't know Leon that well. There are many performances where i bumped into him but there are few chances for the both of us to really chat."
The rumours that dAnIeL drove Leon away has just subsided but yesterday, Polygram organised an "Intimate" party for daniel to congratulate him, putting up a banner that says "Beyond idol, Better in Singing" (something like that ). Someone immediately asked dAnIeL if it meant that his album sales has surpassed Leon. dAnIeL posed a haughty look and said "You're too sensitive!"
dAnIeLappeared at the party with a sporty image, wearing a hockey jersey. About sports, dAnIeL grinned."I am not bad in sports. In high school, i was in the runner in the team. Pingpong, hockey and skiing ..i have all done it before."

At a "Ten Most Unforgettable Movies" held yesterday, dAnIeL said that his most unforgettable movie are "Fa Nei Qing" and "Ying Xiong Ben Se" (sorry dunno how to translate that) dAnIeLseldom cry at movies. Even Titanic, he didn't even shed a tear. But the "Fa Nei Qing" --acted by Andy Lau, made him tear up. dAnIeL said that the mother-and-son bond was very deep and touching. He watched "Ying Xiong Ben Se"3 times, and likes Chow Yun Fat's protrayal of Mark. Very stylo he says. He likes to watch movies and has decided to buy a theatre system in his home.
dAnIeL said he wanted to do more movies this year, action movies and sentimental ones. He laughed and said that the two are very extreme but he feels confident of his emotions and thinks that he can handle the sentimental movies.

dAnIeL was late for half an hour yesterday at a press conference which invited lots of other artises. After the conference, dAnIeL apologise profusely, he said "I seldom slept past the hour but today it was already 11:30am when i woke up. Maybe that's becoz i caught a flu recently and flying to and fro Taiwan and HK that made me tired, so i couldn't get up."
dAnIeL will be flying to Taiwan today and staying for a week there, beginning a long progamme of promotion for his latest album. Polygram also held a party for him, to congratulate the well-doing of his album. Only been released for 2 weeks, but going past the 30,000 mark.
For the next month, dAnIeL will be busy doing activites to promote his album. About movies, becoz he's in the middle of considering a role, so he couldn't say. He said that he wanted to act more becoz he likes to watch movies. But due to his busy work, he doesn't have much chance to explore his emotions. Movies can do that. He would like to do action movies as well as sentimental ones.
dAnIeL loves to watch movies but because he is so busy that he dosen't have time to go to cinema. So he decided to buy a 100 inch theatre system. He has already bought the stero systems and has spent tens of thousands on it.

dAnIeL with a consistent image of being "GuaiGuai" (obedient) was surprisingly one of the characters, others including Andy Lau, Aaron Kwok, etc.. in the comic recently published. When asked if he is worried his image would be tarnished, dAnIeL only said he hoped that the character would not be too far from him in the real life. Because the comic has a lot of artises in them, such as Gigi, would he fear that the two of them would be written as a couple? dAnIeL expressed that comic is only a story. He believed that the readers would be able to tell that apart.

dAnIeL has often travelled to Taiwan recently to do his promotions work. About rumours that there are other male singers visiting nightclubs there, dAnIeL said he has never been to a nightclub. Becoz that would cause negative rumours. So when he needn't work, he would rest in the hotel, no recreations.
dAnIeL noted that nightclubs in Taiwan has much news about fights, drugs, etc.. to avoid trouble, he thinks he shouldn't go. How about in HK? dAnIeLsaid he has been to many night spots there but there is no fun.

WaKeY wAkEy DaNiEl!!
Travelling to and fro Taiwan and HK with plenty of functions to attend everyday, dAnIeL has to get up in the wee hours of the morning and go to bed late at night. To dAnIeL, being able to sleep till he wakes up by himself is a bliss. But till now it is still a hope. In the eyes of his company workers, dAnIeLis a polite, professional workaholic but he loves to laze in bed. But it's alright, while dAnIeL lazes in bed, his co-workers have their various methods to wake him up!
dAnIeL tend to lose things easily, so the key to his room is given to the staff. Early in the morning, the staff would go into his room where dAnIeL is still fast alseep to wake him. He tried to wake him by calling but there was no respond from dAnIeL. He then took a bolster and hit dAnIeL, but dAnIeL only responded with a "hmph" and positioned himself to hide from the blows and fell asleep again. After five minutes, another of the staff started pulling the blanket. And what reveals was TaDa!!! dAnIeL slept in his jeans and T-shirt?! "I never have to bring pyjamas to Taiwan coz i can sleep in these, otherwise i'll be seen all by the staff!" dAnIeL grinned.
After the bolster fighting, blanket snatching, dAnIeL finally awakens. But dAnIeL still want to stay in bed and do jigsaw puzzle(?!) , to alert his mind and when he thinks he is totally awake, then he will wash up.

dAnIeL will be performing at a music function on the 23rd of May. And it was said that dAnIeL would not only be there with a new hairstyle, but with a bolder idea of revealing his top half of the body. daniel used to be a staunch conservative, refusing to reveal his upper part of his body totally.
At the musical, dAnIeL will be singing the theme song for the "USA Cotten", and will be re-enact the commercial. So the fans can keep a lookout, when dAnIeL takes off his shirt. ( i didn't say that)

dAnIeL is very happy that his latest mandarin album "Intimate" has been doing very well despite the cutdown on publicity due to the squeezing of budget of the recording companies . Luckily dAnIeL has an advertisement to back him up, and has a booklet of photos to give away per album for the fans as a keepsake.
"Intimate" has only been out for a week in Taiwan and it has hit the 160, 000 mark. And in Singapore, just 4 days it has obtained a "Bai Jin".(i think it should be the 100,000 mark) In Malaysia it has gone beyond the mark. The rough estimate of the album sold was more than 250,000, dAnIeL's previous sales of his mandarin album!!!!
dAnIeLwas in Foshan a few days ago attending a award presentation, his previous mandarin hit "The Heart Already Knows" is doing very well in Shanghai and in Guangdong, getting into top 5 placings of the charts.
dAnIeL, now in Taiwan doing his promotion said that the earlier mandarin album was doing good sales, so he has a lot of pressure for this second mandarin album. But now everyone knows that it is doing alright, he is relieved. But there is much promotion for him to do.

At the award presentation in Foshan, dAnIeL received 2 awards!!! And among the Taiwan, Hongkong and China singers, dAnIeL got the warmest and the loudest cheers! Fans kept whistling, screaming and waving the banners. When a fan of dAnIeL came up to give him roses, she even kissed him. But they booed when Jackey came up to collect his award for the "My most loved cantonese male singer" (sorry, that was a direct translation.)

Yesterday, taking place at the press conference was the preview of dAnIeL's commercial for the "Cotten USA" but when it was aired, there was a blunder. It was said that after the countdown, a different screening came up and it was after several moments that the commercial was played.
When talked about working together with Fiona, the 15 year old girl playing dAnIeL's love interest in teh commercial, dAnIeLsaid that Fiona refused to stop kissing him! He added that they kissed as long as a song, and he couldn't resist asking her if they had enough kissing.

dAnIeL has previously been said to secrectly admire GiGi Leung and with recent rumours of GiGi being booked with 3 hundred thousand dollars, dAnIeL seemed to be unhappy about it and repeatedly said not to believe it, that this is without proof and that he trust GiGi.
There are also rumours circulating around Ronald Cheng. But dAnIeL said that he doesn't know anything about it. dAnIeLthinks that in the entertainment biz, one should not listen, should not promote rumours, and should not believe. He also feels that being an artiste is not easy. Most of the times, rumours without hard facts supporting it will be reported. If it is not true, it would be very unfair to the people involved.
Regarding to the variety show that dAnIeLtook part the other day in Taiwan, dAnIeL said that initally it was embarrassing and awkward. But later he felt a sense of relief and remarked that it was indeed a foolproof trick.

An award presetation organised by Foshan and Guagzhou will be held on the 7th of March at Foshan Stadium. There are 55 catergories and dAnIeL is one of the nominated artistes among the many Hongkong singers.

DaNiEl professes his love....But gets a Thank You?!
dAnIeL took part in a variety show in Taiwan which is notorious for the way they make fun of the stars. dAnIeL did not win this time, but he got an extra bonus of having his latest MTV "Intimate" to be aired in the show.
dAnIeL was already prepared mentally for the grilling things that he would be getting, but in the end he got warped by the many deceiving plots. dAnIeL was supposed to make three calls and had to have the different callers to say either "don't cry", "I love you" and "I'm sorry" to win.
The first call was to Polygram's excutive. After dAnIeL got through, he begun to cry. According to normal reaction, the other party should have said "don't cry", but wat he said was "What's wrong, dAnIeL?" dAnIeL continued crying but the excutive asked "What's the matter?" and "Where are you?" dAnIeL lied that he was in a restraunt. The excutive offered to come over and it was a merry-go-round efforts to get the excutive to say the words "don't cry" while the audience laughed uncontrollably.
After this call, dAnIeL made a call to a female promotion worker. dAnIeL told her "I love you!" The promoter's first reaction was "What's wrong? You are not in a good mood?" dAnIeL continued saying "I love you" hoping that she would say the same. But she said "How did you get my number?" dAnIeL has to say that "When you have the will, you have the way." She said in return," If you can memorise your idioms as good as this, then it will be great." As the audience roared in laughter, dAnIeL said," If a guy really love you, you would say...?" The promoter replied," If this is so, then I would say thank you!" dAnIeL nearly fainted. (figuratively, relax!)
The last call is to a hongkong worker. dAnIeL scolded," I have already been in Taiwan for some days already, how come you haven't got the pass ready?" The worker explained everything and dAnIeLasked "If you did something wrong, what would you say to me?" The worker replied "I'm in the wrong." So dAnIeL lost in this game.
At this time, the producer brought out a cake out telling dAnIeL that this is to celebrate the high ratings that the show has received and invited the vice-president of the show to cut the cake. dAnIeLdid not suspect anything. And later the 2 hosts as well as the vice-president tried to throw the cake at dAnIeL. dAnIeLdodged and accidentally bumped into the vice-president, causing him to fall to the ground. dAnIeLhelped him up but the vice-president later was helped out of the show, saying that he wasn't feeling well. Once of the worker then told dAnIeL that the vice-preident had an operation and has just recovered, putting dAnIeL in a panic, turning a shade pale.
dAnIeL was still shaken by the incident when he reached his hotel until one of his promotion collegues told him that it was only a sham.
