After being taken to Haddonfield Memorial Hospital where she is recovering from a broken ankle and stab wounds, Laurie Strode soon learns that Michael Myers is coming back for her.

Meanwhile, Dr. Loomis, Michael Myers' psychiatrist, is trying to piece together why Michael has returned home to Haddonfield. With the help of Marion Chambers, a nurse who was present during Myers' escape in the first film, Loomis soon discovers Michael's intentions and why he is so determined to kill seventeen year old Laurie Strode.
