Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon
Connect DB Sweeney to Kevin Bacon!

"What's Kevin Bacon got to do with DB Sweeney?" the uniformed may ask. In answer, as many movie buffs will know, Kevin Bacon is the centre of the acting universe. Why? Because (almost) every actor can be linked to him within 6 other actors. This cult game is known as "Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon" (see Scream 2 for a reference).

Here's my reasoning for including this game on the site. In the February 1997 issue of Premiere magazine, there was an in-depth interview with Courtney Love. During the interview she had this to say: "We were playing Kevin Bacon at Winona's [Ryder] party. It was me, Winona, DB Sweeney, Peter Berg... And we made a rule that you could only use people in the room to get to Kevin Bacon. Like, Winona and Christian Slater were together in Heathers, and Christian Slater was in Murder in the First with Kevin Bacon. So we were doing Samantha Mathis and she was in Pump Up the Volume with Christian Slater, and [Slater] just walked in! We all started laughing and he's, like, 'What?' It was the best laugh I've had in years! I really felt like a Brat Packer for about five seconds."

I decided to start this section to see if any of you there could send in suggestions for connecting DB Sweeney to Kevin Bacon on the inspiration of this article. You could either play it through the people in this room like the article, or just play it in the normal way. That's 3 moves.

If I were to play it the normal way I could do: DB Sweeney is in Memphis Belle with David Strathairn who was in The River Wild with Kevin Bacon. That's 2 moves. What do you reckon?
