Riya Sen Gallery |
Riya Sen might be an emerging star in her own right but her innocent eyes convey the message that she is yet to come to terms with the BIG'n'BAD world of Bollywood.
Coming from the Sen scion, the family that enthralled Bengali cine-lovers for almost five decades, Riya has modeled herself more on her grandmother the legendary Suchitra Sen. So, acting comes to her naturally. "She inspires me most," says the proud granddaughter, "and I would be proud if I can be like her - be it personal life or professional."
A familiar face in Indi-pop music video scene, Riya has already featured in quite a few music videos including Phalguni Pathak's 'Yaad piya ki', Jagjit Singh and Asha Bhonsle's 'Jab samne tum' and 'Kahin kahin se' which featured Lata Mangeshkar besides Jagjit and Asha. She made her film debut down south with in Bharati Raja's 'Taj Mahal', which has music by A.R. Rehman and screenplay by Mani Ratnam.
