February 26, 2000 Yeah, I know. It's been an unbelievably long time. I am sorry, but I have some very good reasons: 1. I've been weighed down with newer and harder classes for the second semester of school. 2. I've been working on an RPG game based on the DBZ characters (more on that in a second.) 3. I'm a huge procrastonator.
Yes, those reasons really suck, but what can I say? Being a procrastinator makes it very hard to get any work done. But, you'll forgive me when I add the newest section to my site - the games page! Let me explain. About a month ago I was searching around for DBZ info and came to Vegeta Insane!. His site had a section in it with a little RPG game about Vegeta that he created. You can go to the Vegeta Insane! game and download it for yourself, it's pretty cool. Anyway I saw this and immediately thought "Hey, that's cool! I wanna make video games!" The page had a link to the site, The Fantastically Adequate Hamster Republic, so I went there and downloaded the porgram. Long story short (to late), I used the program to make my own DBZ-related games. I'm almost done with my first one, "Ginyu", which is a really short game where you play as the Ginyu Force and fight all the battles that took place on Namek. It's almost finished, and should be available for downloading in about a week or two. Click here for Ginyu screenshots.
In DBZ news, apparently Cartoon Network decided not to show the Garlic Jr. Saga in December, but let the series run through again before doing it. Actually, I wasn't really that disappointed or surprised. I was very satisfied with seeing the whole Frieza Saga, and thought it was a good place to stop the season. Also the Garlic Jr. Saga isn't ver good. I've seen the first six out of ten uncut episodes on tape already. If you want to you can read my Short Review of the Garlic Jr. Saga. Also, I've just heard about some interesting dates for the airing of the 4th Season of DBZ. The Garlic Jr. Saga should air on May 1st, unless the schedule is screwed up do to other shows overriding Toonami (something which I am fairly sure will happen). Then, the Trunks and Android Saga will begin showing in September. _____________________________________________________________________________________ December 29, 1999 I added in a new section in my American Voice Actors page. Now you can see the nearly complete cast of American voice dubs from all three seasons. Go here to see.
Also, one other thing. Due to Christmas specials on Cartoon Network, the Garlic Junior Saga won't start until Friday, December 31, 1999, New Years Eve. I'm sure this information isn't of much use to you now, but I just thought it would be good to give the final true date (I've changed it twice in my updates). Anyway, Happy New Millenium! Let's hope Y2K isn't serious (yeah, I'm real scared). _____________________________________________________________________________________
December 22, 1999 I just put in a new section to my site: The Z Fighters. In this section you can find information on all the fighters seen so far on American Dragon Ball Z, from Goku to Frieza. It contains all of their power levels throughout DBZ (as far as I know), all of their special abilities and attacks, and all of the fights they've had, in both Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z. I'll be working on the character biographies next, which will contain information about all of the main charcter's lives and personalities, both fighters and civilians. I also updated my Links page. Now I have five links, which I consider to be the best five DBZ sites on the web.
And finally, just a reminder that the last ten episodes of the third season, the Garlic Junior Saga, will be shown starting December 29, and two of the last six uncut DBZ tapes will be available from FUNimation in January of 2000. Yay! As for video releases. The first two of three Garlic Jr. tapes and last two of three Frieza tapes are currently available to order at the FUNimation Store, and the third sets will be available in March. The first two Trunks tapes will be available in April, as well as DBZ movie 4, Super Saiyan Goku.
With all these new episodes to look forward to, I can hardly wait. I am check FUNimation's store daily to see when the next tapes are available to pre-order, and will let you know as soon as they are. Until then, adios! _____________________________________________________________________________________
December 17, 1999 The fan art section is now up. You may notice that there is no actual fan art there yet, just mine. Well, I'll put fan art in when enough people actually send their stuff in. You can send in your art to my E -mail. Until then, go take a look at the stuff I drew using a computer paint program. They're pretty good, if I do say so myself. Go here to see My Art.
Now for the DBZ news: DBZ movie 4 is currently being dubbed by FUNimation, and will be released in March either on video or Toonami. I've heard that they will be changing the sound track for this movie to a hard rock-sound. Whether you think that's good or bad is up to you. I'm just the messenger.
That's it for now. My next update will be some time in January 2000. Until then, see y'all! Merry Christmas! |
