| Plot. Under the direction of Roger Spottiswoode, shooting took place in world-wide locales such as France, Germany, Mexico, and Thailand. Michelle Yeoh has signed on as Bond's ally Wai Lin, a Chinese secret agent. Jonathan Pryce will portray Elliot Carver, a villainous media magnate who, during the Gulf War, made a killing on sales of his world-wide newspaper Tomorrow. Desperate for similar revenues, he's now hell-bent on creating war between China and England. Teri Hatcher plays his wife, Paris - who happens to be one of Bond's ex-girlfriends. (He had to run into one eventually!) Dame Judi Dench, Samantha Bond, and Joe Don Baker will reprise their respective parts as M, Moneypenny, and CIA Agent Jack Wade.
