on Tactical Pod (each cannon has Forward and Aft capabilities)

These are an upgrade to the pulse cannons in the Defiant Class Starships. These cannons are bi-directional in nature have a forward and aft pre-fire chamber and "barrel" stack.  This gives each cannon 2 banks of 10 "barrels" each capable of independent operation.  This weapons system is capable of changing the resonance frequency of the phaser for each individual pulse.  This is accomplished by ionizing the pre-fire chamber with a different frequency for each pulse.  Having a single barrel was determined to produce too slow a rate of fire to be effective in combat so a configuration similar to an old styled Gatling Gun was developed.  10 "barrels" in a two stacks of 5, one on top of the other to produces one of the two banks for each pulse cannon.   Rather than the "barrels" themselves rotating, the plasma feed to each pre-fire chamber is controlled by the fire control system.  Each plasma feed is shunted to only one "barrel" per cannon at any one time. The firing pattern is rotated through all ten "barrels" within the period of one second.  The frequencies are randomly generated by the fire control computer in the pod ensuring that a sustained rate of 600 pulses per minute  can be maintained and that each phaser pulse is of a different frequency. This improvement was designed to prevent the Borg from adapting to the phaser frequencies of attacking Starfleet ships. This is a large assembly and the 4 cannons take up two decks of the Pod.  This weapons system presents a devastating pounding to the enemy's shields and in tests on captured ships Total destruction of the shields was accomplished in 10% of the time it took a standard  type XII phaser array to destroy the shields. This weapon demands an incredible amount of energy. Therefore a Defiant class warp core was placed in the Tactical Pod solely to power the 4 cannons.  Control of the 4 cannons with their forward and aft arrays is maintained by 2 banks of fire control computer systems.  Each is fully capable of managing the 4 cannons on its own, providing a redundant system should one of them get damaged in battle.

Two Rotating Torpedo Turrets

capable of launching 4 torpedoes a second each

2 Turrets on the Tactical Pod ( one on each side ) capable of 180 degree rotation on both X and Y axis

Basic Load of 400 Mark III Quantum Torpedoes in Advanced Tactical Pod

There are 2 bays containing an auto-loading system and 200 Torpedoes each.

Shielding exceeds 7,160,000 Tera-Joules  energy dissipation, triple redundancy system.

Shielding systems are mutagenic, multi-phasic and  self regenerating.

Secondary and Tertiary systems perform at 75% efficiency of Primary System.

Double  Duranium / Tritanium hull with 10 cm Heavy Duty Ablative Armor

Special Weapons

These weapons were first deployed and tested in Nebula Class Cruisers and are currently considered experimental

Shield Disruptor  - based off of the Breen Shield Dampening Weapon.

This device can disable the shields of a group of enemy  ships for a short period.

This allows the weapons to produce greater damage directly to the enemy vessels

This system is still experiencing problems, shields of enemy vessels occasionally prove resistant.

Point Defense Targeting System

This advanced targeting system uses the scientific, navigational, and targeting sensor arrays.

It is so accurate that can it target and destroy incoming enemy weapons fire 90% of the time.

This was perfected in 2374 by the Tellarite Institute of Weapons Technology.
