Night At The Museum: Bringing History to Life

Children of Men - Hard Core Seamless Visual Effects
Director Alfonso Cuaron directs the new gritty drama Children of Men, and in the finest tradition of Blade Runner the future is a bleak and depressing place. For the visual effects team it is also a place filmed in long, complex, traveling single take shots with little or no 'set' lighting. The shots often required massive 3d tracking and compositing.

A Better Vue
Vue 6 was introduced at Siggraph and began shipping during the last part of 2006. The software is used for creating, animating and rendering natural 3D environments and the release brought numerous enhancements.

Intelligent Creatures is a Canadian effects house, part of the Candian Cartel. The company was formed by artists Raymond Gieringer, Michael Hatton, Lon Molnar and Wendy Lanning. The founders talk about some of their latest work on films such as Babel, Stranger Than Fiction and The Fountain.
