Theater Advice

I know that this may be pretty traumatizing for a lot of theater buffs but it is a very important notice. There was a study done by a university about the health conditions of theater and they come up with an interesting fact about the theaters that people go to (Let me clear my throat).

In their studies, they had shown the the health problems inside theaters was pretty ugly. In all of the studies, they had seen that the theaters were unsanitary. We've all noticed the sticky floors and grubby seats but this goes way beyond that. When people leave for the bathroom, some (probably mostly men) have a tendency to use the restroom and not wash their hands before they leave.

When they step out of the bathroom, they leave germs in the door handle. Actually, most door handles for that matter, but the particles from the bathroom are transferred onto the theater seats. This showed in the research that the seats and seat covers are powdered with urine and feces particles.

Eww, gross!

But all the seats do have this problem. Not only from the transfer from hands, but from clothing as well. Germs have a tricky way of infesting most of everything, anyway. Remebber the saying, "Don't let the bed-bugs bite"? They're going to anyway. Mites thrive on bed covers, on skin, and even on the end of your eyelashes (but that's beside the point).

But, no one has ever got ill from these instances. Most particles are way too small to create problems in human contact. Only a large portion from the said particles will sickly affect people. By any chance that you chew on a theater seat cover or if you bite into a turd, you may get sick. I would not reccomend that you do either but it always to be precautious about this.

Thank you, and have a clean day, and don't bite into any turds.
